Rainbow Families Annual Camping Weekend

For several years, Rainbow Families has organized an annual LGBTQ+ Families Camping Weekend, one of our most popular and loved traditions, typically held each Labor Day weekend.

Our camping weekends provide the opportunity for our children (and parents, too) to be around other families like theirs, in a safe and celebratory setting.   No explaining, no code shifting, no wondering if they&#;re acknowledged based on their status or status of their family.

Our camping weekends comprise tent or cabin lodging options, meals, and a variety of activities for all ages such as boat rides, canoeing, hikes/walks, our Annual Family Sway, arts and crafts, rock climbing wall, archery, swimming, our Toddler Zone and much more.

Many of our programs are available and open to everyone &#;  members of our collective as well as allies.   This weekend, however, is for us.   Primarily, Gay Parents (and parents-to-be) with children between very fresh until the mid-teens.
