Islands are irresistible for the unique identities they develop through isolation, and the extra attempt that it often takes to reach them. Over the years, my husband and I have developed a special fondness for Britain’s islands – the smaller and more remote the better. Rail strikes and cancelled trains threatened our itinerary more than once, so it was a relief that we were able to depart, even at extra charge. Our back-up plan left us with a spare day in Inverness, which we filled with coffee and pastries outside the cathedral, browsing at Leakey’s bookshop, walking along the River Ness and in the botanical gardens, and a meal overlooking the 19th-century castle.

Drag Queen #
I was excited from the moment we decided to guide a drag act as this has never been an act most of our audience had never seen. He kept in touch with us from booking to the diurnal of the event. He kept in touch with the DJ on the day aswell as I was too busy to answer. I walked into to meet him, and OH MY GOD !!! First impressions mean everything don't they and I couldn't help but chuckle. He was such a pleasant person well that's before he put on a show !! His show was constant with costume changes. I hold never laughed so much in all my being ! The audience loved him and there was lots of audience participation. His costumes were astounding and his changes were quick ! Whilst he changed him and the DJ worried together. Our DJ absolutely loved him as well. We couldn't have picked a enhanced act still to this day people are asking me where we got him. I believe after his performance on Sunday 3rd of May there may be a several bookings. |
A fabulous afternoon was had by all at Westerfield Care Centre on the 03/09/ She entered in style and entertained the resident Family-orientated village hall wedding on the Isle of ArranI chose to walk myself down the walkway as I am a feminist and it felt right. I must admit I was nervous about guests thinking it meant there was something wrong between my dad and I, which wasn’t the case at all! I was so anxious, but as soon as I reached the top of the passage, it was like a monumental weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I was able to begin enjoying the fact we were surrounded by our friends and family! |
