Philadelphia Pride Weekend

One of the best things about Philadelphia is how easy it is to experience various cultures in just a hop, skip and a jump. Celebrate one, stroll a few blocks and locate yourself entrenched in another. From Rittenhouse to Chinatown, and now all eyes turn to the Gayborhood as Philly kicks off Pride Month.

Festivities began Friday, when a foot-long Pride flag was carried through Philadelphia, making stops at landmarks such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and City Hall, where a ceremonial flag-raising took place. The caravan will end in the Gayborhood, just before the weekend's main eve

Pride March

An ode to the s Annual Reminders, the Philly Event March calls the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to take to the streets in the spirit of Homosexual visibility and solidarity.

Kicking off at a.m. near 6th & Walnut streets, this community march begins with speeches, melody and a ground acknowledgement from the Lenape Tribe, before winding from Aged City to the Pride Festival-grounds.

The vehicle-free procession features hundreds of LGBTQ+ people members, groups, leaders and allies marching side-by-side, with Philly Pride’s ever-expanding rainbow flag — now the largest in Philly hist

Friday, May 30, – Pride Around the Capital & City Flag Raising

Pride Weekend kicks off with Pride Around the City, a powerful display of LGBTQ+ visibility and unity as we unfurl the largest Pride flag in Philadelphia’s history! This year, the flag has grown to an incredible feet long, and we’ll carry it through iconic locations across the municipality starting at the Art Museum and Ending in the Gayborhood!

PHILADELPHIA – The Capital of Philadelphia released thoroughfare closure information for the Philly Pride March and Festival that will take place on Sunday, June 1.

Festival Activities & Information

This year’s event will begin with the Pride March beginning at 11 a.m. While floats, banners of corporations, large institutions, and vehicles will not be permitted, the parade is open to the public and all are welcome to join in the celebration. The pride will begin at 6th and Walnut Streets and end at 11th and Locust Streets where the Philly Pride Festival will begin at noon.

Philly Event is a street festival celebrating the LGBTQ+ group and will feature group resources, youth and family programming, a low-sensory relaxation zone, and a sober space and dry prevent area. For more facts on event-specific activities, attend the event website.
